Beverley Short Lamp Shades September 21st, 2018 - 04:39:24
I know we all have a lot of trouble figuring out what size of lampshade to put on your lamp, I'm here to help you make that very simple. A lampshade such as this one is this is called an empire. It's eight across the top 16 across the bottom and 12 along the slant. This shade fits a lamp of approximately 25 to 28 inches tall.
The lampshade should be approximately 40 % of the total height of your lamp. When you set the shade on top of the heart, 40 % is a standard number. Now, if your lamp is approximately 20 to 24 inches tall, a 12-inch shade would be the proper size. 12 across the bottom, if it's approximately 24 to 27, we would put a 14-inch bottom on the lampshade. This one is a 28-inch lamp, and this I put a 16-inch size on it.
Then, when we get above a 30-inch high plant, I put an 18 inch, the size of all lampshades is referred to by the size across the bottom. If it's an 18-inch shade, it means it's 18 across the bottom and says so. That's a very standard, easy way of doing is a shallow ground lampshade, which is a little bit different, and the sizing on these go just a little bit may look a little bit different because this shade has only can just halter. As I said, shallow, it runs the ratio on these would probably be just a little less than 40 % probably closer to a third, but this is the shade that often time is being used today and I would highly recommend it for an updated look
