Allyson Shaw Lamp Shades August 31st, 2018 - 03:23:58
Gold desk lampshade using items mostly from Dollar Tree. So if you're interested just keep watching from the Dollar Tree, I use five packs of these to count glass tea, light holders, some of this little ribbon and gold. I use some of these self-adhesive Diamond wrap sheet, as well as some Mod Podge and a sponge brush. I also use some strong adhesive, my glue gun and glue sticks, and then I used some of this clear that I already had from Walmart in the 24-karat and then I picked up a lampshade from five below for three dollars.
I'll have a complete list of what I use they're in the description box, so the first thing I did was use my strong adhesive to glue eight of my glass tea light holders together, once those dried. I clue two of those balls to each of my two remaining candle holders and I let that dry for about an hour. I then glued those two pieces together flipping one upside down and gluing it right on top, and when I was done, I had something that looked like this. While that drive overnight, I mixed my Mod Podge and my glitter together, and I use my sponge brush to add that mixture to the lampshade.
I added four layers of the Mod Podge make sure in total, because I did not want to be able to see through my lampshades in hindsight I should have probably spray-painted the Left shade with gold spray first to avoid adding so many layers. However, I was happy with my coverage and when I was done, I had something that looked like this. The next day I cut my glitter ribbon into three smaller strips, and I added a piece of that ribbon to the outside center of each of the glass balls.
