Ana Washington Lamp Shades August 30th, 2018 - 04:02:03
This lampshade in burlap. I really like working with burlap, it's pretty messy to work with, but because all these strings fall out and go everywhere and it sticks to your pants. What I really like about this and what I like about wrapping it around a lamp which I only did one. I said, but it creates a different light. If you know what I mean, it's just a lot warmer calmer and I really liked it, and I thought this would be a perfect tutorial for spring, so anyway, let's go ahead and jump in and get started. So what we're gonna do is already have this cut, how I want it in everything.
The only thing that we're gonna be using for this project is this spray adhesive and I'm kind of nervous because I got this all over my hands lost timing. It was pretty hard to come out or come off whatever, but um yeah anyways, I'm gonna like and tell on my map, and hopefully, it doesn't get on my jeans. This is one of these lamps were. I can't get this thing actually. I think I can get about. Oh, maybe so much easier. You don't like that. Sometimes I wonder about myself so now that that's gonna be so much easier to deal with open our spray adhesive and get to the dangerous part, and hopefully does it get my hair. That would be really bad.
First, we're gonna make sure, because we're gonna do each side at a time and we're going to start with a corner and work our way around, so we're just gonna fold that over like this and we're going to start spraying. Okay, you know we're just and once we could, this we're just want to get the fabric or burlap fabric, it is fabric and we're just going to apply and now we're just gonna pull it tight, see how simple this is and we're just gonna go Around and do the same thing pulling tight and rubbing it flat, so there's no bubbles or anything once we make the corner that we started with we're just going to fold under so we're actually lifting up on that one side that we just glued and folding. Underneath that way, we don't have any follow up.
That's gonna spray down and for the ends, we're just going to take it and fold it like you're wrapping. A wrapping presents, hey, take it and fold it like you're wrapping a present, not a wrapped present and we're just going to spray inside so it'll hold in the ends where these little metal things are we're just gonna cut. So it's not tugging at it. Cut you can just pull it back and you can see how it's just going around it and now we're just going to do the same to the bottom and spray on the inside and just tuck it in, and that is a quick and simple way to wrap your lampshade in burlap, like seriously less than five minutes and really easy, depending on how big your lampshade is.
I think it looks really cute and for the finishing touch, I am just going to add one of my burlap flowers that I made and I actually have a video on how to make these burlap flowers. So, if you're interested and want to learn how to make for a lot of flowers and rosettes I'll post a link below so you guys can check it out. So now I'm just going to get my spray adhesive again, and I know I got rid of that's how I don't think I'll need it, and I just want to spray this bottom corner and apply my flower. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial on how to wrap your lampshade in burlap and to add a little bling to it right here.
